   Independent Contractor / Firmware Engineer             June 2005 - August 2006

        Designed and developed TNC (Trusted Network Connect) component for AAA-server. 
        Prototyped all external software pieces required for client-server testing. 
        Participated in a new release of AAA-server by making additions and fixes 
        to few other components.
        Development was done in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 environment.

        From 1999 actively participated in the firmware development for company's 
        newest enterprise-class switches (Matrix N-series, SmartSwitch 2200 & 6000):

        --  local management: SNMP agent tune-up and configuration (e.g. SNMPv3
             configuration, CLI and MIB)

        Designed, developed and maintained several components for Cabletron's 
        ATM devices (both modular and standalone):

        --  LAN Emulation Client (LANE v.1.0)

        --  SPANS protocol (pre-standard implementation of

        ILMI 4.0, MPOA 1.0 (Client). Participated in industry-wide ATM 
        Interoperability Tests: UNH (Durham) and Interphase (Dallas); 
        Successfully resolved design and multi-vendor issues on customer sites.

 Research Associate / Software Engineer

        Led the software development for one of the first high-speed ATM testbeds
        in USA.
        Designed and implemented SunOS's driver to carry multimedia traffic over the
        experimental network, acceptance program set for 1 Gigabit/sec ATM switch,
        socket-based test programs. Coordinated design of network control software by 
        several industrial participants. Chose, installed and evaluated new software
        products.


 TOR Computer Company, St.Petersburg, Russia                         1987 - 1990
 Software Engineer promoted to Senior Software Engineer

        Designed generator of event-driven GUI to different DBMS's in MS-DOS.
        Project was based on Object-Oriented approach to make a CASE tool for highly
        customizable applications.
        Participated in the design of a proprietary local network. Responsibilities
        included composing inter-layer (OSI model) interfaces while porting the
        product into Unix.

        Performed full-cycle development of firmware and application software for
